In the 3rd round of
Europa League qualification the
FC Luzern will try to prevail against
FC Utrecht in Letzigrund-Zurich on Thursdays evening. Despite an offensive line-up Luzern had almost no shots on target against a physical dutch team in the first leg. Utrecht deserved the 1:0 win and is now in a favourable position for the rematch.
The FC Luzern had a very good start into the season when made seven points and nine goals out of their first three games in Swiss Super League. Last Sunday they turned a 0:2 deficit into a 4:2 win against Xamax Neuchatel.
FC Utrecht, in pre-season seventh of the dutch Ehrendivision, hasn't made important changes on their squad. Last season their solid defence received only 35 goals in 38 League matches. Utrecht has easily qualified against the Albania team KF Tirana (4:0 and 1:1) for the 3rd round of European League qualification.

The only meeting so far: 1st leg: 29 July 2010: FC Utrecht - FC Luzern 1:0
Luzern must win this match, but initially even more important, needs to prevent an away goal of Utrecht. Because Utrecht has a strong defence aswell, I suggest a bet on few goals.
