Red Bull Salzburg hosts
SC Magna Wr. Neustadt from Lower Austria during the
4. round of the tipp3 Bundesliga. The champion from last year Salzburg wasn't able to win a game during this new season. But one of their games was cancelled. The quests from Wr. Neustadt won two of their tree games and they are now on the first position in the Austrian Bundesliga.
Salzburg lost their last game against Rapid Wien with 1:2 because of a goal from Steffen Hofmann during the additional time. The first game against Kapfenberg ended with a 0:0 drawn so they made just one point and one goal in this season. The game during the second round against Innsbruck was cancelled because of heavy rain. But in the qualification of the champions league Salzburg won against Omonia Nicosia and now they are in the last qualification round. Wr. The team from Lower Austria did not win in Salzburg in their club history. The last game ended 4:2 for Salzburg but Alexander Grünwald scored in the first minute for Wr. Neustadt. Andreas Ulmer will miss Salzburg for a longer time probably he will not be fit until next year. It is not sure which player will be instead of him but perhaps Dusan Svento will play as a defender like he did it against Omonia Nicosia.
