On Friday evening
VfL Osnabrück and
1.FC Kaiserslautern will meet in the first round of German Cup.
The VfL Osnabrück just promoted from the 3.Liga to the 2.Bundesliga, but made only small changes on their squad. From the six new players only Tyrala and Gorka will probably be on the field, so Osnabrück will play with a team that knows each other well. Last season Osnabrück has beaten the Hamburger SV and Borussia Dortmund in the Cup.
After four years the 1.FC Kaiserslautern is back to Bundesliga. The club who is rich in tradition dominated the 2.Bundesliga with their strong defence, but had to release three of their best players. The squad was improved with several players that have Bundesliga experience. Though the test matches ended all positive, the team will need time to find together.
