In the first round of
German Cup Kickers Offenbach is not without chance against VfL Bochum on Sunday evening.
Kickers Offenbach started with four wins out of four matches into the season. The club invested plenty in new players, so coach Wolfgang Wolf has a squad, that has quite high quality for a 3.Liga side. The team is physically strong and convinces with good set-pieces, but their best free kick taker Da Costa will be injured.
After they relegated from Bundesliga, the VfL Bochum had to release most of their best players. With the North Korean striker Chong Tese and Giovanni Federico they could at least engage two promising players. For Bochum, who showed defence problems in their test matches, this is the first competitive outing of the season.
