Play-offs, first leg: SK Sturm Graz vs Juventus Turin

Football - Qualification Europa League - 2010-08-19
Match preview
On Thursday the 19 of August SK Sturm Graz hosts Juventus Turin during the 4th round of the qualification for the Europe league. The guests from Italy are big favourite in this game and they want to make a good result in the first leg. But Sturm Graz will not lose without to fight and I am sure that the home team will try everything to beat Juventus. The game takes place in the UPC Arena in Graz, which is sold out, and starts at 9:05pm.

This game will be the highlight in the season of 2010/11 for the team from Styria. They got the hardest challenge of all Austrian teams in the qualification for the Europe league, perhaps also in the champions league. But the team from Coach Franco Foda will accept the challenge, and they try to beat Juventus. In the Austrian Bundesliga Sturm Graz is now on the 4th position. Just the last game against Rapid Wien was lost with 0:2. Scouts from Juventus watched this match and they saw a bad day from Sturm. In the last qualification round Dinamo Tiblisi was eliminated with a final score from 3:1.
The Italian Seria A league has not started yet so the scouts from Sturm got not many information's. Juventus played in the 3rd qualification round against Shamrock Rovers from Ireland and won with the final score from 3:0.

Conditions/Referee
Juventus got many very good players like Trezeguet, Del Piero and many more, so it will be very hard for Sturm Graz. It could be an advantage form Sturm Graz that in Italy the football season hasn't started yet. It will be a very special match for the players and also for the vistitors and they hope that Sturm will give them a surprise.

Head-to-Head
These teams never played against each other.
