The
5th round of Austria´s tipp3-Bundesliga brings on Saturday the fixture between
SC Magna Wr. Neustadt and
SV Ried. Both teams have lost just one game in the running season, Wr. Neustadt faces rank 3, Ried is league leader.
After two wins over LASK Linz (5:0) and SK Rapid Wien (2:1) and a draw against Austria Wien (0:0) SC Magna Wr. Neustadt was leading the table in Austria´s football Bundesliga. The fourth round brought a 2:4 at Red Bull Salzburg and at the same time the first season defeat. So Schöttel´s side has fallen back on table rank 3. SV Ried started nearly perfect in the new season. After four rounds they are league leaders. Ried have lost the opener 0:3 at home against Sturm Graz, but then they celebrated three wins in a row: 4:1 vs SV Mattersburg (a), 1:0 vs LASK Linz (h) and 1:0 vs Austria Wien (a). On last weekend SV Ried continues their run in the first round of the ÖFB-Cup with a 5:0 win at Sturm Graz Amateure.
