After their surprising defeat at Kaiserslautern the champions Bayern München are already under pressure on the third day of
German Bundesliga.
Also this season the
FC Bayern has problems at the beginning of the season. The 2:1 last minute home win against Wolfsburg followed a 0:2 defeat at the promoted 1.FC Kaiserslautern. The absence of Robben and the weak form of Ribery are problematic and the inner defence, with Demichelis and the young Badstuber, doesn't seem very confident. However, without doubt Bayern has the best players in Bundesliga, especially midfield and forwards are of international class.
Werder Bremen started into the new Bundesliga season with a 1:4 defeat at Hoffenheim, qualified for the Champions League in dramatic matches against Sampdoria Genua and beat the 1.FC Köln at home 4:2 recently. In all four games at least four goals were scored, which is referable to the extreme offensive orientation of Bremen. The vulnerable defence was now enhanced with Mikael Sylvestre, while inner defender Mertesacker will be injured, as it is top striker Pizzaro. The Brasilian midfielder Wesley (FC Santos) will make his debut in Munich.

Bayern are of course favourite, but Bremen is capable of another success in Munich. Considered that both teams have a strong offence and problems in their defence, many goals are quite likely.
