Last Sunday the MSV Duisburg has lost the top position of the
2.Bundesliga table to the FC Augsburg. Now they hope to get it back with a home win in a head-to-head match on Wednesday.
The squad of the
MSV Duisburg was well changed before the season and exceeds all expectations at the moment. The team, that was refreshed with several young talented players, won the first three matches and was the more active team also in Aue last Sunday, but finally lost there with 0:1. Harmful that both central defenders got a red card and will miss the game against Augsburg. Duisburg has won both home matches against Paderborn (4:1) and 1860 München (2:1) and won away in Osnabrück with 3:1.
Also the
FC Augsburg won the first three matches, but surprised when played only 2:2 at home against Osnabrück last Sunday. The team of Jos Luhukay is full of former Bundeliga players and does not only therefore count to the top favourites of the 2.Bundesliga. Augsburg won their two previous away matches in Bochum (2:0) and Ingolstadt (4:1).
