The top match of the 6th round of the
2.Bundesliga will be played on Friday evening, when the second of the table, Energie Cottbus, meets the leader Hertha Berlin in the East-Derby.
A big surprise is the young team of
Energie Cottbus that is still unbeaten this season. They won not only four of their five matches, they also showed moral when equalized a 2:5 deficit against Karlsruhe or turned a 1:2 into a 3:2 win one week later in Aachen. The offensive team of coach Wollitz has scored 14 goals in their five games and also defeat the, until then unbeaten, Greuther Fürth last Tuesday with 2:0.
Hertha BSC Berlin, the top favourite of the 2.Bundesliga, has come up to expectations so far and has reached the top of the table for the first time through a 4:0 win against Karlsruhe last Tuesday. The team that is stuffed with strong technical players, also won four of their five matches, but had problems with Union Berlins physical style of play, where they finished only 1:1 last Friday.
