Against Bayer Leverkusen the VfB Stuttgart will try to get its second
Bundesliga win on Saturday afternoon.
With the recent 7:0 against Mönchengladbach and the 3:0 against Young Boys Bern the
VfB Stuttgart thought to have overcome the crisis, but last Wednesday they were disabused. Despite one man more, they got beaten 1:2 at Nürnberg, lost now four of their five Bundesliga matches and are on a relegation position. At least the Swabians played in parts quite decent football in Nürnberg. The important defender Matthieu Delpierre will be back after a rest.
Even they have lost only one Bundesliga match so far, it doesn't currently work well for
Bayer Leverkusen. After the memorable 3:6 home loss against Mönchengladbach they could avoid other defeats, but the last matches in Hannover (2:2), against Nürnberg (0:0) and against Frankfurt on Tuesday (2:1) didn't convince. Their weak performance is to be explained with their injury misery. Besides striker Kießling also Ballack and Castro are missing, Hyypiä is in doubt.
