In the Spanish Primera Division fifth of the table FC Sevilla hosts leader FC Barcelona. In the last Round of La Liga underdog Getafe has already shown that even big Barca is vulnerable. Now Sevilla wants to seize its chance to bring Barcelona down.

FC Barcelona is currently the best team in Spanish football. But the winnig streak of nine victories in arrow has come to a sudden end in their last game in the Primera Division. At Home at Nou Camp they were only able to save a draw against Getafe. Obviously, the Catalans couldn’t cope with Lionel Messi not being in the squad. The Argentine was spared for their Champions League clash with Sporting Lisbon. In this game Barca was able to gather new self-confidence with Messi playing a huge part in their 5:2-victory.
Meanwhile, Sevilla is in a kind of waiting position and could even reach the second spot with a victory. On the last matchday they hosted Valencia, another team of the Spanish top-flight. The Game ended goalless but proved Sevilla’s strength nonetheless. In the Uefa-Cup Sevilla has had its day off in the group stage and could focus on their built-up for the important game against Barcelona.
Last Season’s matches ended with a draw in Sevilla and a home-victory in Barcelona.
