FIFA Football World Cup 2010 in South Africa
In May 2004 the time has come and the FIFA Executive Committee decided that in the time between the 11th of June and the 11th of July 2010 the FIFA World Cup will be played for first time in the history on the African continent. A total of 200 teams have entered the race for one of the 31 tickets at the FIFA World Cup 2010. South Africa is qualified as organizer. The qualification for the 31 places has begun in the Oceanian Zone in August 2007.
