Brazil
The fivefold world champion Brazil qualified as winner of the South American group masterfully for the World Cup 2010 in South Africa. This allows the Selecao as the only national team to point to an unblemished appearance record at world championships.
The star-studded Brazilian national team is traditionally one of the big favorites for the title. In the recent past, they presented themselves particularly strong at world championships and won the coveted trophy outside of Europe in the USA and South Korea/Japan.
