Belgium – Morocco betting tip & odds comparison 27.11.2022

Belgium will be looking to move one step closer to the knockout round from Group when they take on Morocco in their second group game on Sunday at Al Thumama Stadium.

The Red Devils picked up a razor-thin 1-0 over Canada in their opening match while Morocco battled to a barren draw against Croatia

This preview will focus on Nairabet and WSB betting options and prices for our 2022 World Cup betting predictions for this clash.

BELGIUM

Despite a relatively smooth qualification campaign where they were scoring goals for fun, Belgium had to huff and puff in their World Cup opener on Wednesday against Canada, who were making their return to this stage after nearly 4 decades. They eventually prevailed, winning 1-0 thanks to Michy Batshuayi’s 44th-minute goal.

The Belgians are top of the group after the other match between Morocco and 2018 finalists Croatia ended in a goalless stalemate. They will nevertheless need to step up to the challenge here if they want to put a foot in the next round.

Roberto Martinez will have to rely on Batshuayi yet again to lead the lines upfront as the “Golden Generation” make a stab at what is their last realistic chance to win silverware having come up woefully short in previous attempts, including the last world cup where they finished in third place overall.

MOROCCO

Morocco put up a solid defensive shift against Croatia in their return to the World Cup after missing out on the last four editions. They created a few chances of their own in that game but were mostly content with defending and trying to hit Croatia on the counter.

That draw means they are still very much in the hunt for a last-16 place but they will need to up get favourable results in their remaining fixtures. Coach Walid Regragui has played down their chances but as they proved against Croatia, they can be a hard nut to crack and could be lethal if afforded chances on the break. The Atlas Lions enjoy a sizeable following from fans in Qatar drawn.

They will certainly approach the game in much the same way as they did the first game. A point here would still put them in contention for the round of 16 ahead of the determinant final group game against Canada.

BELGIUM VS MOROCCO PREDICTIONS

The underwhelming performance against Canada was certainly a wake-up call for this Belgium team loaded with some of the biggest names in world football headlined by Man City star Kevin De Bruyne. We fancy them to go all out here and we are backing them to find the back of the net at least twice @ 2.12 with Worldsportsbetting as our initial betting tip today.

As they did in the opener, Morocco is likely to sit back again and try and catch the Belgians on the counter. This in turn will see Belgium dominate the possession. Incessant attacks at their goalmouth are likely to result in a few corners for the Belgians just as they did for Croatia who won the corner battle 5-0. Nairabet Nigeria has Belgium getting at least 6 corners priced @ 2.20 and we feel there is value in going with this as our last shout for this game.
