Betting Tip for matchday 2 of the 2019-2021 WC-Quali. Africa between Cape Verde and Nigeria.
Cape Verde vs Nigeria, CAF World Cup Qualifiers, 07.09.2021
Cape Verde and Nigeria will lock horns in their second group game of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Praha in the first competitive fixture between both sides.
CAPE VERDE
Cape Verde will hope to get their first three-point of this qualifying stage after playing one all draw away at the Central African Republic in their first game last Wednesday which placed them second on the log behind their Tuesday opponent.
The Pedro Leitoo Brito led team are winless in the last two games, although they enjoyed a three-game winning streak before that. The home side will hope to make the most of playing on their patch and the unavailability of a number of Super Eagles regulars and get their first win of the qualification series.
The hosts have injury worries of their own and they will be without Partizan Belgrade striker Ricardo Gomes. The 29-year-old, who has four international goals from 16 appearances left the team’s camp over the weekend after failing to feature against CAR despite travelling with the team.
Cape Verde are yet to make an appearance at the FIFA World Cup though they have played at three Africa Cup of Nations. The home side have to win this fixture to stand any realistic chance of progressing to the next round.
NIGERIA
The Super Eagles opened their qualifying stage with a 2-0 victory against their fellow West African counterpart Liberia on Friday and will be hope to consolidate on their position on top of the log when they meet Cape Verde on Tuesday.
Nigeria will be without their UK based players which includes Friday’s two goal hero, Kelechi Iheanacho, Alex Iwobi, Troost Ekong amongst others by the virtue of Cape Verde being on the Red list of countries under the UK rules of Covid 19 restrictions list.
Gernot Rohr side are unbeaten in their last five competitive away games and the last meeting between both sides ended in a draw.
The three-time African champions have qualified for every FIFA World Cup since their debut in 1994 except for the 2006 edition.

CAPE VERDE VS NIGERIA BETTING TIPS AND PREDICTIONS
Both sides know the importance of this game, but it is the Cape Verdeans who will be under more pressure because they are yet to win in this series. Although, it is only the second game, being two points behind group favourites is not a position they like to be in.
Nigeria are going to miss a huge chunk of their prominent players with players on the fringes, taking centre stage. This game will be closely fought and we are going for a First Half Draw at 1.94 on 1xBet.
For the second tip, chances are going to be few and far between. We are therefore backing Under 1.5 goals at 1.25 in the First Half also on 1xBet First deposit bonus.
You can put yourself in good stead to win with our betting strategies and sure straight wins for tomorrow.
