Barcelona will be looking to keep alive their hopes of qualifying for the knockout stage of the Champions League when they welcome Bayern Munich to Camp Nou on Wednesday night.

BARCELONA
Barcelona have been on an absolute tear in La Liga. A 4-0 win over Athletic Bilbao made it 28 points from 11 La Liga games as they kept pace with league leaders Real Madrid in the two-horse race for the title.
They have however failed to replicate that form in the Champions League where they have managed to pick up just four points from the four group games to sit third in Group C, three points adrift of second-placed Inter Milan. The 3-3 draw at this venue in the last round against Inter has left them needing to win both of their two group games while hoping against hope that other results would favor them.
The Catalans have struggled against Bayern. They lost 2-0 in Munich in the reverse game and have now lost the last 5 H2H against them. They however come into this match on the back of impressive home wins over Villarreal and Bilbao that also saw them keep clean sheets.
BAYERN MUNICH
Bayern are one of the bookmaker’s favorite to win it all this season and their performance in the group stage has certainly justified this tag. They have a 100% record after winning all four of their group matches and are assured to top the section if they win or if Inter fails to beat Plzen. Their dominance has been on full display having found the back of the net 13 times while only conceding twice in these matches.
The Bavarians have won this competition six times and they will be looking to get back to the mountaintop after they were summarily dismissed by Villarreal in the quarterfinals last season. Julian Nagelsmann will field a strong side here with a view to locking up the top slot in the group. They also come into this game on a strong note having won their last four straight games including the 2-0 over Hoffenheim at the weekend that has them 2nd in the Bundesliga, just a point behind their neighbors across town Union Berlin
