Liverpool FC – Everton FC betting tip & odds comparison 13.02.2023
Crosstown rivals Liverpool and Everton face off on Monday night at Anfield in the second Merseyside Derby of the season.
Both teams have struggled this season and will look to this fixture to add some fire to their struggling campaigns.
We expect a closely fought encounter here and our Premier League predictions for this clash will be from Bet365 and Betking
LIVERPOOL
Liverpool have been utterly dominant in this fixture, losing just once in the last 25 encounters at Anfield. Having said that, they have been quite miserable coming into this fixture. They are yet to win a Premier League match this year (1D, 3L) and have found themselves dangling in mid-table for the better part of the season and out of both domestic cups that they won last season.
A 3-0 thrashing by Wolves last weekend ramped up pressure on coach Jurgen Klopp and he knows too well another loss to their bitter rivals could quickly turn the tables on him. The Reds have struggled in front of goal. They have failed to find the back of the net in the last 3 league games, including a 0-0 draw at home to Chelsea, which was the first time they failed to get on the mark at home in 33 matches.
Klopp will demand a response from his charges here as they look to kickstart their campaign that looks dead in the water right now which is quite astonishing for a side that came within a hair’s length of winning the title last season.
EVERTON
Despite their struggles, there is an air of optimism at Everton, following an impressive 1-0 win over league leaders Arsenal in Sean Dyche’s first match in charge. The Toffees will hope to build on that win as they travel to a ground that has been a slaughterhouse for them in recent years.
That win ended a 10-game dry spell in which they had picked up just 2 points. They remained in the bottom three a point away from safety.
Sean Dyche has proven he can go toe-to-toe with the best of them even while handling average teams and Evertonians will go into the match with a modicum of hope.

LIVERPOOL VS EVERTON PREDICTIONS
Sean Dyche will set his team up to frustrate the hosts by all means possible. You can therefore expect a closely fought encounter here with very limited chances either way. Liverpool’s struggles in front of goal does them no favors in this regard. As such we are expecting a low-scoring encounter here. We are therefore backing Under 2.5 Goals @ 2.12 with Betking as the first of our betting tips today.
Physical play and hard tackles have been Sean Dyche’s staple food for the longest time. Throw in the element of a derby and that opens up the possibility of this game degenerating into a slugfest with a possibility for cynical challenges. There is absolutely no love lost between these teams and given their respective struggles this season, tensions are likely to spill over in this match. We fancy few bookings either way as the ref tries to keep things under control. For our final tip, we are therefore going for Over 4.5 Bookings @ 1.90 with Bet365 Bonus
