Manchester United - Atlético de Madrid ai prediction 15.03.2022 Champions League
Betting Tip for matchday 2 of the 2021/2022 Champions League between Manchester United and Atlético de Madrid.
The remaining UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second-leg fixtures will be played out this week, with the action kicking off on Tuesday night. Manchester United play hosts to La Liga champions Atletico Madrid at Old Trafford with the tie evenly poised after the first leg in Spain ended in a 1-1 draw. The Red Devils needed youngster Anthony Elanga to produce a late equaliser to keep them alive in the contest. They might need to repeat the battling performance they put in to defeat Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 at the weekend.

MANCHESTER UNITED
Unbeaten in three UEFA competition games against Spanish opponents here (W2, D1), the ‘Red Devils’ have also gone four home competitive fixtures without defeat (W2, D2), which should encourage them as they attempt to reach their first UCL quarter-final since 2018/19.
Following on from United’s weekend thriller, it’s easy to see another high-scoring clash at Old Trafford. The Red Devils have seen both teams score in six of their last eight matches, while six of their seven Champions League games this term have finished without a clean sheet for either side.
With the away-goal rule abolished, Manchester United’s strike at the Wanda Metropolitano does not give them an added advantage, leaving everything to play for at Old Trafford for both teams.
ATLETICO MADRID
Atlético have won all three of their La Liga games following the first leg and like Man United, this competition likely represents their best chance of silverware this term. They’re finding decent form at a key time though, even if manager Diego Simeone was unimpressed with some of their play against Cádiz (W 2-1) on Friday, calling it slow and flat!
However, having had the reputation as one of Europe’s best defences, Atletico have regressed this season. They’ve also gone six games without a clean sheet in the Champions League, while they’ve conceded in 10 of their last 12. And interestingly, Atletico also haven’t kept a clean sheet in any of their eight total away games against English teams in this competition, conceding 14 goals overall.
That might serve as a warning to step up here, to step up to the plate if they are hoping to walk pass the Red Devils in this crucial fixture.
