SSC Napoli – Juventus betting predictions & odds comparison 13.01.2023
The pick of this weekend’s Serie A matches comes early, as Napoli welcome Juventus to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on Friday.
The two teams are currently atop the standings with Napoli leading the chart with 44 points, 7 clear of Juventus in second place.
With so much of the season still left to play, there is a lot to play for here. Our Serie A predictions for this game will be taken from Mozzartbet and Betway.
NAPOLI
After their unbeaten start to the season was ended by Inter Milan at the San Siro in the first match after the World Cup, Napoli returned to normal service, comfortably beating Sampdoria last weekend to remain perched at the top of the standings with a 7-point cushion over the chasing pack led by the visiting Juventus. Other results at the weekend also went in their favor with AC Milan, Inter and Lazio all conceding stoppage-time equalisers.
Napoli have been utterly dominant domestically and in Europe as well where they eased through the group matches to punch their slot in the knockout rounds without much ado. Their free-flowing attacking football has been the backbone of their rise to the apex.
This match presents a great test of their title credentials though. They will be up against a Juventus team that is the hottest team in the Italian top flight at the moment. Maurizio Sarri will be looking for his charges to send a telling statement to the rest of the league here.
JUVENTUS
Juventus left it late but a 1-0 win over a dogged and determined Udinese team earned them a remarkable eighth win on the trot, a run that has seen them shoot from midtable after a woeful start to the season, right up to 2nd on the log behind the runway leaders who host them here.
They are now just 7 points behind the league leaders and have a chance to further reduce that deficit if they can pick up a win in this clash.
Unlike the hosts, Massimilano Allegri has pegged his resurgence on a solid defensive philosophy. The Old Lady has kept 12 clean sheets in their 17 league games so far. Only the 1966/67 Cagliari team has surpassed that at this stage of the season. Winning ugly games but playing rock-solid defense is pretty much the same gameplan that has seen them win the Scudetto over the years.

NAPOLI VS JUVENTUS PREDICTIONS
Despite Napoli’s penchant for playing free-flowing football, they may find the going a little tough against Juventus’ 3-6-1 formation. We expect a tough game here with limited scoring opportunities either way. That will be pretty much in keeping with their recent encounters. 4 of the last 6 meetings between them ended with fewer than 3 total goals. A repeat of the same here pays @ 1.77 at Mozzartbet and we are backing this as our opening betting tip today.
TIP #1: Under 2.5 goals with odds @ 1.75
Games such as these tend to be packed with lots of tension and emotions. Juventus are threatening to spoil Napoli’s coronation and the hosts just about holding off the competition. A win for Juventus would be a massive momentum shift in the title race. As such we expect Napoli to be the aggressor here. We fancy them to have most of the possession and that could possibly see them winning lots of corners with Juve setting themselves up not to concede. As such we are backing Napoli to get 2 more corners than the visitors in this game @ 1.75 with Betway app for our final call for this clash.
TIP #1: Napoli corner handicap -1.5 with odds @ 1.77
