BAYERN MUNICH
After appearing to slip in the two games that came in the aftermath of the Club World Cup in Qatar, Bayern got back to business with a 5-1 thrashing of FC Koln last weekend to restore some semblance of order after they allowed the chasing pack to chip into their cushion at the top of the table.
They remain two points clear of Leipzig at the top of the table with just 11 matches left to play until the end of the season. More importantly for the Bavarians, they got both Muller and Serge Gnabry back from illness and injury with the pair coming on in the second half and having an immediate impact.
For all their might, Bayern’s underbelly this season has been their defence. They haven’t kept a clean sheet in months and Flick will be wary of the threat the Dortmund’s forward pose.
BORUSSSIA DORTMUND
Dortmund have blown hot and cold this season and have found themselves leaving them out of the title race. That said, interim manager Edin Terzic has seemingly found a winning formula that has catapulted them to four consecutive wins in all competitions.
They got a critical Champions League round of 16 first-leg win at Sevilla and this seemed to have instilled a sense of belief in the team as they went on to pick up big wins over Schalke and a struggling Arminia team as well as a nervy 1-0 win over Gladbach in the DFB-Pokal quarter-final on Tuesday.
Bayern are a whole different kettle of fish but coach Terzic is hoping they can carry the momentum to the Allianz Arena which has been a tough hunting ground for them in recent seasons.

BAYERN MUNICH VS DORTMUND BETTING TIPS
Bayern has struggled to put up long winning streaks like they did last season on the way to winning the treble. This has mostly been because of injuries to some of their players in different stretches of the season. However, with several of Bayern’s first-team players back in the rotation, and with the season coming to the business end, we expect Bayern to put their foot on the pedal for the remainder of the season and assert their stranglehold on this league. They have dominated this fixture, winning the last four and we do not see that stopping here. We are therefore backing them to stretch that winning streak to five matches by getting the win here @ 1.65.
Der Klassiker always draws top billings because of its tendency to serve up goals. These two teams possess two of the best attacks, not just in the Bundesliga but in Europe. The goalscorer market is therefore of special interest here. Lewandowski and Haaland seem to be the obvious choices here but we have gone for a surprise choice. Serge Gnabry marked his return from injury with a late brace from the bench is likely to be preferred to start over Leroy Sane on the right-hand side of the attack. With Lewandowski likely to get the bulk of the attention from Dortmund’s defence, there will be room for other Bayern players to flourish. We are backing Gnabry to take full advantage of that and score anytime @ 2.93 as our last betting prediction here.
