Bayern Munich vs Union Berlin, Bundesliga 10.04.2021
Champions Bayern Munich will look to tighten their grip on the Bundesliga title when they host Union Berlin on Saturday afternoon.
The Bavarians are seven points clear at the summit of the table after their 1-0 win over second-place RB Leipzig last week while Union have hopes of playing in Europe next season as they are in 7th spot and very much within touching distance of a Europa League spots.

BAYERN MUNICH
Despite playing without their injured top scorer Robert Lewandowski, Bayern were still good enough at second-placed RB Leipzig’s backyard last weekend as they handled their business with a clinical 1-0 win that opened up a 7 point cushion over them at the top of German’s top-flight division. They are now on course for a record-extending ninth straight league title.
They did stumble in their European adventure in midweek though, losing 3-2 to PSG in the first leg of their quarterfinal tie at the Allianz Arena. They created a number of chances but failed to capitalize, badly missing the services of the injured Pole.
Hans Flick will be looking for a swift response from his charges. He is unlikely to make major changes from the team that beat Leipzig last weekend.
UNION BERLIN
Union have re-upped on their impressive first season, going a notch higher in this their second stint at in German top flight. They are currently seventh on the log, just 4 points behind Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen.
Whilst Europa qualification is within the realm of possibility, Urs Fischer’s men will have to do better than they have in recent outings. They have picked up just two wins in their last 11 league matches which has let dampened this quest for European football next season.
The capital club held Bayern to a draw in the reverse game earlier in the season. A repeat of that, while highly unlikely will go a long way in aiding their quest for a Europa place finish this season.

BAYERN MUNICH VS UNION BERLIN BETTING PREDICTIONS
Having been stung by the midweek loss to PSG, we expect a Bayern Munich backlash here. They are undefeated at their home turf this season and they will be looking to wrap up the defence of their title at the earliest opportunity. They are very much on course to do that having won at Leipzig last weekend to give themselves some breathing room at the top. We expect them to continue this march by going on the attack from the get-go. We are therefore backing them to win this game at halftime and full-time @ 2.10 as the first of our betting tips today.
Although the champions have dominated their opponents at home, their defence has been quite generous this season. They have only kept one clean sheet in their last 10 league games at the Allianz Arena. With several first-team players missing, they are unlikely to keep one here. We could therefore be in for a goal-scoring treat here. Union have something to play for and will therefore not hold anything back. For our last tip therefore we fancy Over 3.5 goals to land @ 2.46.
