Manchester United will be looking to build up their case for a top-four finish when visit Villa Park on Thursday evening to take on relegation-threatened Aston Villa.
Things are increasingly looking bleak for Aston Villa at the moment. They are winless in their last 10 games, losing 8 and the two draws coming against Sheffield and Newcastle. The Midlands outfit is now in 18th place, four adrift of Watford who won in midweek against bottom club Norwich. In fact, they are actually tied with 19th placed Bournemouth on 27 points but with a better goal difference and have a tougher run-in with Everton and Arsenal to come.
They have struggled on both ends of the pitch. They literally have the worst defence in the league and they just haven’t scored enough goals to offset that.
Five of their seven league wins have come from home though and they can draw some little motivation from their last game at Anfield where they at least held the champions scoreless before two goals in the last 20 minutes did them in.
Manchester United are without a doubt the form team in the Premier League at the moment. They are unbeaten in 16 competitive games. After this visit to Villa Park, they have Southampton, Crystal Palace, West Ham and Leicester as the remaining Premier League games and going by the form they are in, it is entirely possible to see them extending this run to the end of the season.
The Red Devils currently lie fifth on the log with 55 points, four adrift of 4th placed Leicester and five adrift of 3rd placed Chelsea, with a game in hand on both. They will certainly fancy themselves to push the race for top 4 down to the wire.

United’s attack has been in stupendous form in their 16-game unbeaten run, scoring an incredible 43 goals. The addition of Bruno Fernandes in mid-season has certainly unlocked the great attacking potential they have always had. Martial and Rashford have both clocked 20 goals for the season and teenage sensation Mason Greenwood has come of age with 16 goals as part of this terrific attacking formation. The Red Devils have scored three goals in each of their last three games. Villa will set themselves up to be difficult to beat, but United just have too much quality and we are backing them to win with a handicap +1 for Villa @ 1.84 with Betway betting app.
Speaking of Fernandes, not only is he the creative genius pulling strings in that attack like a maestro conducting an orchestra, he too is chipping in with a few goals of his own. He has scored six goals in nine appearances for United. He is always looking to make that incisive pass for teammates making runs behind the defence but when presented the opportunity, he has shown he has a natural affinity to score. With penalty responsibility on his shoulders, we fancy him to score at anytime in the game @ 2.72 as our final betting tip for this fixture.
