BRAZIL

Brazil will be playing a couple of friendlies this week with one eye on the winter World Cup in Qatar. They had breezed past their World Cup qualifying stage with 45 points from 17 matches in the CONMEBOL section.

The Brazilian national team are unbeaten since their Copa America defeat in July 2021 to bitter rivals Argentina. Since then they have lifted their spirits and in 2022 have won 5 of their 6 matches.

The current Brazilian squad is being hyped as one of the better all round squads Brazil have had since their 2002 world cup victory. They have plenty world class forwards and have already score 19 goals in the 6 matches they have played this year.

Brazil’s manager Tite announced he will be stepping down after the world cup in December. However all eyes will be on Neymar and Vinicius Jr who have been having an outstanding domestic season with their respective clubs.

Richarlison and Raphinha have done well with their new clubs and add raw intensity coupled with their dribbling ability to the current Brazilian squad.

GHANA

Ghana were recently buoyed by securing their qualification to the winter world cup after missing out in playing the 2018 edition. They beat Nigeria on away goals in the final qualifying stage of the CAF group.

After a dismal African Cup of Nations campaign where they couldn’t get out of the group stages, their manager Milovan Rajevac was dismissed and new manager Otto Addo took in charge of the crucial fixtures against Nigeria.

There have been new developments in the Ghanaian squad this International period as they called up Tariq Lamptey and Inaki Williams for the first time. Another premier league star, Mohammed Salisu is also in line for a debut.

Against Brazil, Ghana will not be expected to keep possession. And hence the timely return of Thomas Partey will boost the team and Mohammed Kudus who has shone brightly for Ajax Amsterdam this season may be given the nod in the number 9 role.

OUR PREVIEW AND PREDICTIONS FOR BRAZIL VS GHANA

This is the first of the two friendlies both teams will play this week but all attention will be on Brazil who have also emerged as one of the favourites to win the world cup this year.

Brazil have been playing free flowing football this year with their new 4-4-2 formation and have scored 18 goals in their last 5 matches. Their attacking has been extremely fluid and the form of Neymar and Vinicius Jr will only boost them further. As our first of the betting tips today, we forecast Brazil scoring at least 2 goals.

TIP 1: Brazil Total Goals Over 1.5 @1.36

Ghana will be experimenting with a lot of new faces and cohesion maybe a problem. Despite Ghana’s counter attacking threats, Brazil will just have too much quality in their front lines and should be able to outscore Ghana with ease.

TIP 2: Brazil To Win @ 1.20
