Betting tips & odds comparison 26.08.2020 Celtic Glasgow - Ferencvárosi TC
Betting Tip for matchday 0 of the 2020/2021 Champions League Qual. between Celtic Glasgow and Ferencvárosi TC. The game will be played at Celtic Park (Glasgow, Scotland) on 26.08.2020 at 20:45.
Celtic v Ferencvaros, UEFA Pre-qualifier
Celtic will have the group stage of the Champions League in their sights when they play host to Hungarian champions Ferencvaros at the Celtic Park in a one-off encounter on Wednesday night.
Neil Lennon’s made light work of Icelandic side KR Reykjavik of Iceland with a 6-0 thrashing in their first qualifying round for the Champions League group stage last week. KR Reykjavik offered little resistance in the game as Celtics run them rugged from start to finish.
The Bhoys are the favourites in this one-off tie against Ferencvaros but they will be under no illusion of the threat that the Hungarian champions pose.
Ferencvaros won their 31st Hungarian title last season and they come into this fixture full of confidence after dispatching Swedish Champions Djugarden 2-0 in the first qualifying round in a game they also controlled all through. They actually reached the third qualifying round last time out and then dropped into the Europa League where they only lost one and drew four of their six group matches.
They are managed by former Tottenham and West Ham striker Serhiy Rebrov. They have a bit of experience in European competition. They’ve been in the lower-tier Europa Cup over the years. They are however looking to make a comeback into the group stages of the Champions League where they last featured in the 95/96 season.

MATCH PREVIEW AND BETTING TIPS FOR CELTIC V FERENCVAROS
Both of these teams come into this match on the backs of very impressive victories in their respective first-round fixtures. The odds heavily favour Celtic for this game but we feel it will be closer than the odds suggest. Without the intimidating aura of fans at the Celtic Park, the visitors will certainly fancy their chances. Both teams have also looked really good in their recent games including their pre-season friendlies. Whilst Celtic is expected to win, we fancy Ferencvaros to get a goal here to make the game interesting. We are therefore picking Both Teams to Score @ 2.10 with Betway as our initial betting tip for the game.
The spectre of a one-off tie brings in an extra element of competitiveness into the tie. There is everything to lose – quite literally. The winner gets even closer to the big prize while the loser is left to nurse the pains of missing out. Celtic have suffered the ignominy of an early elimination in these Champions League Pre-qualifiers before and they will no doubt go all out to win this. Both teams have made very good acquisitions to their squads over the summer and some have already fitted in well. With both teams expected to attack, we should have a few goals here and we are backing Over 2.5 goals to be scored @ 1.70 with Betway betting app as our final betting tip for this game.
