Everton FC – Liverpool FC Predictions (03.09.2022)
Everton will welcome Liverpool to Goodison Park for the first Merseyside derby of this season.
The Toffies had a terrible start to the season but have steadied things somewhat but they are still looking for the first win of the season. Liverpool have also bounced back from a slow start with back-to-back wins that have moved them up to 5th on the log.
This has been one-way traffic in recent years and we see nothing to believe this trend can change here. We will extract our Premier League tips in this preview from Paripesa and Betwinner.

EVERTON
Everton came perilously close to going down last season but a strong finish ensured they stayed up. They looked destined to be heading for yet another relegation battle after starting this season with back-to-back losses to Chelsea and Aston Villa. However, they have pulled up their socks and forced a share of the spoils in the last three matches against Nottingham, Brentford and Leeds.
This transfer window hasn’t quite been favorable to them. They lost Richarlison to Tottenham and the rumour mills have been awash with reports that their talented forward Anthony could also be on his way out with interests from top teams including Chelsea going into the last day of the transfer window.
Frank Lampard has made some defensive adjustments that seem to bear fruit but there is still work to be done upfront. They average less than a goal a game and that is just not gonna cut it if they are to avoid getting sucked into the relegation dog fight.

LIVERPOOL
Back-to-back wins at Anfield over Bournemouth and Newcastle appear to have blown some wind into Liverpool’s sails this season. They had started the season rather lethargically with a couple of draws before getting a big dose of reality when they lost to Manchester United at Old Trafford on matchday 3.
The differences in the two wins shows the Reds are still a work in progress. They thrashed Bournemouth 9-0 at the weekend but needed a very late stoppage time goal to edge Newcastle 2-1.
Liverpool have dominated this fixture in recent years and with the likes of Arsenal and Man City seemingly hitting their strides early, the pressure is all on Klopp and his charges to keep up the pace lest they find themselves in a hole that may be difficult to get out of in so far as the title race is concerned.

EVERTON VS LIVERPOOL PREDICTIONS
Despite their lacklustre start to this season, Liverpool are still favoured to come through this fixture unscathed. Everton have won just one of the last 29 derbies and although they have been unbeaten in their last 3 league games, they will be up against a Liverpool side that is trying to get assert themselves back into the title equation. The Reds won both meetings last season and we are backing them to win here again with a -1 handicap @ 2.15 with Paripesa as the first of our betting tips today.
Klopp’s side piled up 13 corners against Newcastle in midweek and we feel that market could be of great interest here too. They are certainly going to have the lion’s share of possession here and with Everton on the backfoot trying to hold ground, they are likely to give up a lot of corners. Betwinner Bonus have Liverpool getting at least 7 corners priced at 1.67 and we feel this is appealing enough for our final tip.
