HUDDERSFIELD
Huddersfield lost out to play in the English top flight football, after a defeat in the Championship playoff at home against Nottingham, with an own goal by Colwin in the 43rd minute.
The once upon time side of Carlos Corberan has been involved in a couple of friendlies after the closure of the league. Recoding two wins, a draw, and a loss in their last five games, with the most recent being a draw against Bolton.
Three of those matches saw them score and two of those losses did not have them register a goal, hosting a side they last time beat in their opening match and in front of their fans, one can only hope that they will bargain all three points here.
BURNLEY
Burley limped throughout the EPL season last year, and finally where kicked out by the decider match on match day 38. After hanging on the string for almost their entire season, their survival depended on rivals Leeds losing, but that did not happen as Leeds stole a late winner at Brentford.
The Clarets’ final match day in the EPL saw them lose to Newcastle, Newcastle opened the score line with a spot kick in the 20th minute, and later Saint-Maximin made it double, in the 69th minute Burnley pulled one back and the game ended 2-1.
Since exiting the EPL and recording their worst performance of 17 losses in that season, Burley has been up and going, now with a new man in charge, Vincent Kompany.
Burnley’s two friendlies showed some positive changes, recording two straight wins. One against Rochdale via Twine’s only goal of the match and a 3-1 win at Shrewsbury.
