MANCHESTER CITY
Man City are in a class of their own right now. Wednesday’s 3-1 victory at Swansea in the FA Cup 5th Round tie made it 15 straight wins which set a new record for consecutive wins by a top-flight English Club.
It’s not just the winning, but how they are doing it that really catches the eye. Of these 15 wins, 12 were by a margin of 2 or more goals. To do this without the club’s all-time leading scorer Sergio Aguero who has been out for the majority of the season speaks volumes of the depth of this team.
Perhaps the most impressive of all was last weekend’s 4-1 demolition of defending champions Liverpool at Anfield. This was a statement of intent from City. Pep Guardiola will look to build on it as they take on one of just two teams to have beaten his side in the league this season.
TOTTENHAM
After a steady run of 8 unbeaten games between just before Christmas and towards the end of January, including six wins, the wheels appear to have come off from this Tottenham team. They have lost four of their last matches, the latest being the epic midweek 5-4 extra-time loss at Everton which bounced them out of the FA Cup.
Conceding four goals ahead of a match against the best team in the league is not ideal preparation but Jose Mourinho expressed his optimism about the spirit in the team and the return of Harry Kane who has now scored in the two games he has played since returning from injury.
The London team will aim to get back into top-four contention but getting anything from the Etihad is a huge ask given the form of Man City at the moment.

MAN CITY VS TOTTENHAM BETTING TIPS
This is a game that will have massive ramifications for both of these teams’ respective ambitions for the season. City will want to pull further away from the chasing pack while Spurs want to arrest their current slide away from the top four. The two teams have had fiery encounters in recent times and given that match official, Paul Tierney is one of the league’s more card-happy referees this season (averaging 3.86 yellows per 90 minutes) we fancy a few cards to be dished out here in a game with plenty of potential for cynical fouls. We are therefore backing Over 3.5 bookings @ 1.95.
We pretty much know what to expect from this game. Mourinho will park the bus and try to hit City on the counter. That’s what he did in the reverse game which they won 2-0. This is a very different City team though. Guardiola has found the perfect blend of solid defending and efficient attack even in the absence of De Bruyne and Aguerro. There is little value in backing City to win so we will combine it with Under 3.5 goals for a much more attractive price of 2.10 with Fezbet welcome bonus.
