Man United had to endure a nerve-wracking final 20 minutes of their clash against Crystal Palace after the dismissal of their midfield general Casemiro following a fracas on the pitch that saw him supposedly grabbing Palace player Will Hughes around the neck with two hands. The two-goal cushion they had built came in handy as they held on despite conceding one goal that ended up being a consolation goal.
Ten Hag’s side are now firmly in the driver’s seat as far as Champions League places are concerned as they sit in third place on the table. Crucially though, defeats to Arsenal and Man City who are ahead of them meant they narrowed the gap at the top and have a chance to eat further into it with another win here.

LEEDS UNITED
