Manchester United – Leeds United betting tip & odds comparison 08.02.2023
Manchester United will look to extend their winning run at Old Trafford to 14 games in all tournaments when they welcome managerless Leeds United in Wednesday’s Premier League clash at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils edged Crystal Palace 2-1 at the weekend, while Leeds lost 1-0 to Nottingham Forest which deepened their relegation woes.
An action-packed game is on the cards here. Our Premier League predictions for this clash will be picked from Bet365 and Frapapa
MANCHESTER UNITED
Man United had to endure a nerve-wracking final 20 minutes of their clash against Crystal Palace after the dismissal of their midfield general Casemiro following a fracas on the pitch that saw him supposedly grabbing Palace player Will Hughes around the neck with two hands. The two-goal cushion they had built came in handy as they held on despite conceding one goal that ended up being a consolation goal.
Ten Hag’s side are now firmly in the driver’s seat as far as Champions League places are concerned as they sit in third place on the table. Crucially though, defeats to Arsenal and Man City who are ahead of them meant they narrowed the gap at the top and have a chance to eat further into it with another win here.
Being the only team that is alive in at least four major competitions, the Red Devils have a punishing schedule that has them playing every four days. Ten Hag will look to put this game to bed early to try and give a breather to some of his big guns to have them fresh for other competitions.
LEEDS UNITED
Leeds are going through a rough patch. A run of seven Premier League matches without a win has seen manager Jesse March’s brief spell at the helm come to a screeching halt earlier this week. Michael Skubala takes temporary charge with the Whites dangling dangerously toward the relegation zone.
Skubala has his work cut out for him. Leeds have not fared well on their travels with 7 of their last 9 away games ending in losses. He will need more from his team if he is to get anything at one of the hottest teams in the league’s backyard.
This used to be a fiery fixture in yesteryears when Leeds was a force to reckon with. That has not been the case lately. Man United have taken 10 points from 12 on offer against Leeds since the Whites earned promotion back to the top flight in 2020.

MAN UNITED VS LEEDS PREDICTIONS
Although United have struggled without Casemiro, they will be locked in for this match that offers them a chance to narrow the gap to 2nd placed City to just 2 points. They have dominated Leeds in recent years and with the visitors struggling on and off the pitch, we expect United to go for the throttle from the get-go. We are backing them to be ahead at the break @ 1.91 with Frapapa for the first of our betting tips today.
Leeds will be desperate to try and avoid sliding further into the abyss but with Man United expected to dominate this encounter, they will be on the back foot for the most part and could resort to frustration tackles that will certainly see them feature prominently in the ref’s little book. They have received at least 3 bookings in 3 of their last 5 PL games. We are backing a repeat of the same here @ 1.83 with Bet365 bonus for our final call.
