Saturday’s crunch game in the Premier League takes place at Old Trafford as top-four rivals Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspurs lock horns in the late kickoff.
The Red Devils lost their top-four slot when they were taken apart by their cross-town rivals Man City last weekend while Tottenham are themselves angling for a top 4 slot themselves.
We expect a tactical encounter here and we will explore Odibets and Yangasport odds for our Premier League betting predictions in this preview.
MANCHESTER UNITED
With reports of disquiet in the dressing room increasing by the minute, the 4-1 loss at the Etihad certainly did the Red Devils no favours. They were barely hanging onto 4th on the log, but they have since been supplanted by Arsenal, who incidentally have an incredible three games in hand. A win here will temporarily see them move back to 4th, if only for 24 hours before the Gunners take on Leicester on Sunday.
The Red Devils defence as has been the case for the better part of the season were in shambles in that humbling loss as Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez scored a brace apiece to lead the Cityzens to victory.
Ralf Rangnick will demand a response here as he looks to set the tone with the 2nd leg of their Champions League tie against Atletico coming up next week.
TOTTENHAM HOTSPURS
Antonio Conte’s Tottenham have gotten themselves back in the race for top-four with emphatic back-to-back wins in the league over Leeds and Everton. Monday’s 5-0 thrashing of Everton was a great way to bounce back from the disappointment of elimination from the FA Cup at the hands of lower league side Middlesbrough.
Harry Kane was the star of the show as he scored twice to surpass Arsenal legend Thierry Henry on the all-time scoring list with 176 Premier League goals to his name.
Ironically, Conte got the Tottenham job thanks to a 3-0 thrashing in London earlier in the season that proved to be the final nail in Nuno Espirito Santo’s coffin. He will be hoping his return to Manchester will be as good as his last visit when he shocked leaders Man City in their backyard a few weeks ago.

MAN UNITED VS TOTTENHAM PREDICTIONS
With both teams desperate in need of a win, we can expect a tight encounter. Tottenham have been a bit shaky defensively but United have struggled to score without Ronaldo and Cavani who have missed the last few matches and are just getting back to fitness. They have nevertheless been quite solid defensively at Old Trafford in recent weeks, where they are unbeaten in their last 4 league games, conceding just one goal in this stretch. As such we expect a defensive game here with few opportunities either way and we are backing Under 3.5 goals @ 1.45 with Odibets as our initial betting tip today.
The opening half of the game is going to be very critical. Any lapse of concentration could prove fatal. As such we expect both teams to work hard to keep their formations and not overcommit as both managers weigh each other’s approach to the game. As a result, we feel it is very likely that the two teams will get to the break on level terms. Yangasport Bonus have priced a draw at halftime @ 2.30 and we feel backing this option would be a good betting strategy for our final tip.
