AC have their work cut out when they host high flying Liverpool on Tuesday night at the San Siro in the final round of Group B 2021-22 Champions League fixtures.

Liverpool are safely through to the round of 16 after winning all five of their group games. AC Milan gave themselves a puncher’s chance with a crucial win at Atletico Madrid in the last round. A win here coupled with a favorable outcome in the Porto – Atletico match will see them through.

Our preview here will highlight Bet365 and 22Bet’s prices and betting options for our betting tips today.

AC MILAN

AC Milan seemed dead in the water coming into the penultimate round of matches. They were rock bottom in the group and faced a daunting task as they travelled to take on Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano. Having lost to them in the dramatic reverse fixture, not many fancied them to get a result here but they did, beating the hosts 1-0 to suddenly give their campaign a new lease of life.

That remains their only win of the campaign thus far after they lost 3 and draw one of their opening four games. However, that win pushed them to third in the group, just a point behind Porto who lost to Liverpool in their last group game.

The seven-time European Champions have seemingly found some bounce in their step with back to back wins over Genoa and Salernitana in the Serie A and they will look to carry some of that charm here.

LIVERPOOL

Liverpool have made a mockery of what was supposed to be the group of death, winning all five of their group matches with relative ease. Despite fielding a largely second-string side against Porto on matchday 5, they were still too good for them as they picked up a 2-0 to maintain their 100% record in group B.

The Reds needed a dramatic injury-time winner from Divock Origi to pick up a 1-0 win away at Wolverhampton Wanderers as they continued the see-saw battle with Chelsea and Man City at the summit of the English Premier League.

With qualification already sealed here, it is likely that coach Klopp could yet again field a much-weakened squad. However, as they showed against Porto, even their second stringers are good enough to give anyone a run for their money.

AC MILAN VS LIVERPOOL PREDICTIONS

The prices for AC Milan have dropped sharply in the last couple of days as bookies anticipate Klopp to field a largely inexperienced side here. The Rossoneri have been on a revival of sorts and with everything still left to fight for, they will go all-in here with their starters as they try to snatch the 2nd qualifying spot on this last day of group games. A victory may not be enough but it will certainly give them a chance. We fancy them on the double chance in a game that should see at least a couple of goals scored @ 1.64 with 22Bet Welcome Bonus.

No visitor to the San Siro this season has left with a clean sheet and a much-changed Liverpool side certainly won’t be the first to do that. Liverpool have also been scoring goals for fun regardless of who they have on the team. Bet365 Bonus has priced Over 2.5 Goals & BTTS @ 1.90 and we feel there is value in picking this for our last shout here.
