The pick of this weekend’s Bundesliga action sees league leaders Bayern Munich playing host to third place Leverkusen at the Allianz Arena.
The Bavarians have their eyes dead set on a 10th consecutive league title while the visitors remain on track for a top-four finish.
Our Bundesliga betting tips for this preview will be derived from Bet365 and Yangasport.
BAYERN MUNICH
A narrow 1-0 win over Frankfurt coupled with Dortmund’s shock 1-1 draw at relegation candidates Augsburg last Sunday meant that the Bavarians opened up a fairly comfortable and seemingly unassailable 8 point cushion at the summit of Germany’s top-flight league.
Bayern have held similar leads at various points this season only to choke them away with some uncharacteristic results but with the homestretch almost coming into play, coach Julian Nagelsmann will be keen not to bottle it this time around.
They dominated the reverse fixture at the BayArena back in October, easily winning 5-1 with braces from Lewandowski and Serge Gnabry along with a Thomas Muller goal in between. Leverkusen have been a much-improved side since then but it’s difficult to see them coming out of the Allianz unscathed.
BAYER LEVERKUSEN
The turn of the year has brought with it good tidings for Leverkusen. They have only lost 1 league game in their seven matches in 2022 (5W, 1D, 1L), a run that has seen them steadily climb up to third on the table, with a four-point advantage over Leipzig, Freiburg and Hoffenheim, who are just below them in the fierce battle for top four.
A title challenge is out of the question though as they are a massive 14 points behind their hosts and league leaders Bayern but considering all the flows and ebbs of the season thus far, it’s been a fairly impressive campaign for them this season.
Gerardo Seoane was disappointed with their late collapse at Mainz last time out as they allowed two late goals to throw away their 2-1 lead. It doesn’t get any easier here but Seoane will be hoping for a better display than their reverse game.

BAYERN MUNICH VS LEVERKUSEN PREDICTIONS
This game seems to be primed for goals. Both teams have been outstanding in front of goal but their defences have been less than solid. Their recent meetings have also produced an avalanche of goals, including the reverse game in October which Bayern won 5-1 at the BayArena. We fancy a strong start to the game and we are backing Over 1.5 first-half goals @ 1.82 with Bet365 as our initial betting tip for today. If you’re a new customer make sure to get the maximum out of the great Bet365 welcome bonus.
It’s difficult to have a conversation about goals without including the goal-scoring machine, Robert Lewandowski. He leads the league in scoring yet again this season with an incredible 28 goals from their 24 matches. Despite drawing a blank last weekend at Frankfurt, he had scored in the previous three league games including a brace in two of them. We are backing him to get back on the scoresheet here @ 1.38 with Yangasport Nigeria Bonus.
