Betting tips & odds comparison 14.05.2022 Borussia Dortmund - Hertha BSC

Betting Tip for matchday 34 of the 2021/2022 Bundesliga between Borussia Dortmund and Hertha BSC. The game will be played at Signal Iduna Park (Dortmund, Germany) on 14.05.2022 at 15:30.

The curtain comes down on the 2021/22 Bundesliga campaign this Saturday with Borussia Dortmund welcoming Hertha Berlin at Signal Iduna Park with the visitor’s survival hanging in the balance coming into this match.

The hosts sealed 2nd place last weekend and have nothing to lose here apart from Erling Haaland who will be playing his final match for the Yellow and Black.

We expect a very interesting encounter here. We will turn the spotlight on Odibets and Paripesa markets and prices for our Bundesliga betting tips today.

BORUSSIA DORTMUND

Dortmund’s 3-1 win over basement club Hertha Berlin guaranteed them a 2nd place finish on the table, yet again playing second fiddle to Bayern Munich who won their record-extending tenth successive Bundesliga title with a few matches to spare. Having said that, the result was a bit of insurance for coach Rose who has been under pressure for inconsistent performances across the season.

To be fair, Dortmund have been beset by a load of injuries to key stars across the season, including their departing goal machine Erling Haaland whose move to Manchester City was confirmed earlier this week. He has been out of action for extended stretches but has since fully recovered and will be looking to sign off in style.

Dortmund’s last home game was a deflating 4-3 loss to promoted side Bochum and they will be looking to erase the bitter taste that was left in their mouths with a convincing win here.

HERTHA BERLIN

Although the hosts have nothing to lose, the visitors have everything to play for here as they continue their quest to survive relegation. A 2-1 loss at home to Mainz last time out coupled with Stuttgart’s unlikely point at Bayern means the Old Lady are very much in the relegation dogfight as they are in one spot above safety and just 3 points clear of Stuttgart with a much worse goal difference.

A loss for them here combined with a win for Stuttgart at home over FC Koln will see them swap places on the table and condemn them to the playoff 16th place where they would need a two-legged tie against a promotion-chasing Bundesliga 2 side to either secure their place in the top flight or drop down to the lower division.

Felix Magath will not take any chances and he will rally his charges to go all out to secure at least the point they need to stay up.

DORTMUND VS HERTHA BERLIN PREDICTIONS

An interesting encounter is on the cards here. Hertha Berlin will be out to stave off relegation while Dortmund will be looking to end the season with aplomb. As such we expect an all-out attacking game here that could possibly yield a few goals both ways. Dortmund’s mounting injury list means they are still vulnerable, particularly at the back as was demonstrated by their 4-3 loss to Bochum in their last game here. For our initial betting tip, we are going for a combo bet of Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 goals @ 1.54 with OdiBet Free Bet.

Erling Haaland announced his arrival to the big stage with a hat trick on his debut for Dortmund and has since gone on to shatter a lot of scoring records for the club. The Norwegian sensation has dealt with injuries for a significant portion of this season and that explains some of Dortmund’s struggles this season. He has however returned to full fitness and although he did not score last time, he will certainly be out to look for a fairy tale ending to his Dortmund sojourn. We are backing Haaland to score anytime @ 1.42 with Paripesa as our last betting tip today.
