FRANCE U23
France came into the tournament as one of the favorites but a shock 4-1 loss to Mexico on an opening day has brought them down to earth. A goalless first half gave way to a massive avalanche in the second as the Mexicans scored two quick goals to begin the 2nd half before France pulled one back with a penalty. They however had nothing left in the tank Mexico scored two more to put everyone on notice.
This loss left France reeling at the bottom of Group A but they are expected to bounce back given the quality they possess within their rank and file.

SOUTH AFRICA U23
Like their opponent, South Africa also started off on the wrong footing as they went down 1-0 to hosts Japan who were roared on by the raucous home crowd. It was mostly one-way traffic and the young Bafana Bafana team was lucky to come out of the game with that modest loss as the hosts laid siege on their goal from start to finish.
Coach David Notoane will need more from his youngsters, particularly up front, if they harbor any hope of getting out of this tough group.

FRANCE U23 VS SOUTH AFRICA U23 MATCH FORECAST AND BETTING PREDICTIONS
Whilst most of the big teams have used the provision for three overage players to bring in some of their big names from the senior team, France hasn’t quite done that. They will need to bank on Liga MX club Tigres UANL duo Andre-Pierre Gignac, and Florian Thauvin to lead the lines upfront. The loss to Mexico left them with an egg on their face and we are expecting a swift response from them here. They still have the better team on paper in this match and we feel they have what it takes to get a good win. We are therefore backing them to win with a -1.5 Asian handicap @ 1.55 as our initial betting tip for this game.
Having both lost their openers, this will be a desperation game for both teams and they really have no choice but to throw caution out of the window and go all out in pursuit of goals. We are therefore anticipating an open-ended affair with goal-scoring opportunities either way. Gbets have offered a price of 1.60 for Over 2.5 goals and we feel it is a good option to snap up for our final tip for this clash.
