Betting tips & odds comparison 06.08.2022 Fulham FC – Liverpool FC
Newly promoted side Fulham will host Liverpool to kick off the 2022/23 Premier League season at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
The Cottagers made an immediate return to the top flight after going down the season before while Liverpool went toe-to-toe with eventual league champions Manchester City in one of the most exhilarating races in recent seasons.
An interesting matchup is one the cards although we can only see one winner here. Our Premier League betting tips today will be sourced from Odibets and Melbet
FULHAM
With a haul of 90 points and 106 goals in the Championship last season, Fulham dominated the division and they pretty much sealed promotion with several matches to spare. This actually saw them getting their feet off the pedal, winning just two of their last seven games of the season. That did not matter though as Marco Silva brought them back to dine with the big boys immediately after they had been relegated.
The goal will certainly be to avoid the chop this time but their return to the league couldn’t have been any more difficult than an opening match against the second-best team from last season. The Cottagers have nevertheless bolstered their squad with the hope of keeping their sojourn in the top flight longer than 12 months. They have signed Joao Palhinha from Sporting Lisbon, Bernd Leno, Andreas Pereira and others.
Fulham have looked a bit decent in pre-season but they haven’t really faced anyone that is remotely close to the visitors.
LIVERPOOL
Liverpool were on course for a historic quadruple last season. But Real Madrid and Manchester City had other ideas as they came in and pooped on their party with Los Merengues winning the Champions League and the Cityzens doing just enough on the last day of the season to hold off the Reds in the Premier League race. They did however capture the two domestic trophies which is still good enough by any measure.
Klopp’s charges underlined their intentions for the new season with an impressive and well-deserved 3-1 win over reigning Champions Manchester City in the curtain-raising Community Shield last weekend. That win put to rest any concerns their fans may have had about the erratic pre-season that has seen them lose to Manchester United, RB Salzburg and Strasbourg, with Klopp putting out experimental lineups and youth team in some of these games.
Liverpool have won the last four straight season openers and they are favored to make it five in a row here.

FULHAM VS LIVERPOOL PREDICTIONS
Liverpool’s dominant showing over Manchester City is not something to be swept under the carpet. They pressed the EPL champions at every opportunity and made the most of the opportunities that were presented to them. We expect them to be even more dominant here against this Fulham team that has shown lapses on the defensive end which haven’t quite been addressed with their summer acquisitions. We expect Liverpool to go for the kill from start to finish and we are backing them to pick up a routine win at halftime and fulltime @ 1.64 with Odibets as our opening betting tip today.
Salah penned a new contract that keeps him at Anfield until 2025. He has been the centrepiece of Klopp’s attacking formations and has delivered time without number whenever they needed him. He scored a penalty against Manchester City in the Community Shield and will certainly be looking to open his account for the new season here. Melbet app have priced him to score at anytime at 1.75 and we are picking this up for our last tip here.
