Barely a week after these two teams faced off in an EFL Cup thriller, they will be locking horns yet again at the King Power Stadium in Leicester for a crucial Premier League match on Tuesday. The Reds mounted a terrific comeback from 3-1 down in that EFL Cup Quarterfinal and went on to prevail on post-match penalties with the game knotted at 3-3 at the end of regulation to book a slot in the semis.
We do not necessarily anticipate another goal rush here. It should be another interesting encounter with both teams desperate for a win. For this preview, we will focus on Nairabet Bonus and Betraha for our betting tips today.
LEICESTER CITY
Leicester brought out the notebook from the famous 1963 Boxing Day fixtures when they visited the Etihad on Sunday. They went down 4-0 at the half but threatened to pull off the comeback of the season for a moment as they clawed back three goals in a 10-minute span between the 55th to the 65th minute. That was not to be however as they ran out of gas with Laporte and Sterling’s late effort driving the final nails in their coffin as they lost the match 6-3.
That loss to the reigning champions left them 10th on the log and they barely have any time to catch a breath Liverpool comes calling for their second encounter within a week.
Brendan Rodgers will be hoping to turn the tide here. That will however be a big ask against a marauding Liverpool attack keen to keep Man City within their sights.
LIVERPOOL
Liverpool got an extended Christmas break after their match against Leeds was postponed following an outbreak of COVID cases within the Leeds camp. The Reds too had been dealing with some cases of their own although some of those could have now cleared the health and safety protocols after completing the mandatory quarantine periods.
That break meant they have had to endure watching City open a gap at the top over the chasing pack. They are 6 points adrift of the champions and they will look to close that deficit back to 3 points with a win here.
With two of their leading goalscorers set to depart for the African Cup of Nations, Klopp will go all out here to make the most of this match. He fielded a second-string side in that EFL Quarter Final and still got the win but there will be no second-guessing here with the title race looking increasingly tough given the form of leaders Man City.

LEICESTER VS LIVERPOOL PREDICTIONS
We do not see anything short of an easy win for the Reds here. They are well-rested and are coming up against a Leicester outfit that will be playing their third match in about a week. Not just that, Leicester will be without a lot of their key players due to either injury or sickness. The Reds, with the state of the title race on their mind, will come out all guns blazing from the get-go and we are backing them to win the game at halftime and fulltime @ 1.92 with 1xBet as the first of our Premier League betting tips here.
With Salah jetting off for AFCON along with Sadio Mane, we can expect both of them to be aggressive in this game as they try to leave the club in good shape in their absence. Salah has had a terrific season and scored when these teams last met in this venue. We fancy the Egyptian magician to sign off in style here by bagging a goal anytime. Ogabet, one of the best betting sites in Nigeria, have this priced @ 1.64 and we feel there is terrific value in backing it as our final tip.
