Champions League resumes in earnest with a tantalizing fixture at Anfield as Liverpool welcome Inter Milan for the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Tuesday evening.

Jurgen Klopp’s side come into the tie with a 2-0 advantage from the first leg while Inter will be hoping against hope to try and turn around that deficit against a team that has been in imperious form the last few weeks.

1xBet app and Odibets have a couple of interesting betting options for this clash and we shall explore them in this preview. And besides that they got some interessting offers for new customers, like the Odibet free bet.

LIVERPOOL

After breezing through the group stage with a perfect 6 wins from 6 games, Liverpool carried that form to the San Siro in the first leg of their round-of-16 tie with Inter as late efforts from Roberto Firminho and the mercurial Mo Salah sealed a 2-0 win to put them in pole position to advance from the tie.

They remain in the running for the Premier League title after a run of seven straight wins pulled them to within 6 points of leaders Manchester City, with a game in hand. They have already won the League Cup and are through to the quarterfinal of the FA Cup, meaning a quadruple is still very much in play for them, despite Klopp waving off such talk.

The Reds have once again turned their backyard into an absolute fortress. They haven’t lost at this ground in over a year and it’s difficult to see how the Nerazzurri can breach the great walls of Anfield.

INTER MILAN

Inter prepped for this game with a resounding 5-0 thrashing of relegation outfits Salernitana on Friday, with a brace apiece from their twin strikers Lautaro Martinez and the evergreen Edin Dzeko. This victory put them temporarily at the top of the table heading into the weekend but AC Milan dislodged them into 2nd place with their win over Napoli as the race for the Scudetto continues to be one for the ages.

The return to scoring for Martinez was a welcome sign for Inter. Those were his first goals since December and Inter had really struggled in the period he lost his scoring boots, including a terrible 4 game stretch before the Salernitana match where they couldn’t even score a single goal!

Coming back from a 2-0 deficit is an uphill task for the blue side of Milan but they have no choice but to chase the game if they are to keep their European adventure alive.

LIVERPOOL VS INTER MILAN PREDICTIONS

We fancy this will be an open end-to-end affair. Facing a 2-0 deficit from the first leg, Inter have no luxury of sitting back here and waiting for Liverpool to dictate the pace of the game. They will need to commit bodies forward to have any chance of getting themselves back into the equation. Their strikers will be coming in with a bit of confidence following their production on Friday, but the Liverpool defence is a whole different kettle of fish though. As such we expect the game to have plenty of opportunities either way and despite none of their previous three encounters seeing at least 3 goals, we feel this one has all the ingredients to surpass the mark. We are therefore picking Over 2.5 Goals @ 1.60 with Odibets as the first of our betting tips today.

Games of this nature also typically produce plenty of corners as there is plenty of goalmouth action expected. The first leg produced 14 corners (7 from each team) and we expect the same level of intensity, if not more, here. 1xBet have priced Over 10.5 corners at 1.90 in this game and we feel there is value in backing this our final Champions League prediction for this game.
