Betting Tip for matchday 29 of the 2020/2021 Bundesliga between VfL Wolfsburg and Bayern Munich.
Wolfsburg vs Bayern Munich, Bundesliga 17.04.2021
Bayern Munich travel to take on Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga this Saturday, with the visitors looking to get back to the business of defending their Bundesliga crown after crashing out of the Champions League at the hands of French Paris Saint-Germain.
The hosts, meanwhile, have Champions League qualification to secure and will look to tighten their grip on third place with just 6 matches left to play this season.
This backdrop portends for a potentially intriguing game here and we will take a look at Paripesa Welcome Bonus prices for our betting tips here.
WOLFSBURG
The Wolves’ last game was a seven-goal-thriller at fellow top-four rivals Frankfurt where despite taking the lead in the 6th minute of the game, they, unfortunately, couldn’t keep the hosts at bay and ended up losing 4-3. This result means the difference between them and 4th place Frankfurt is just one point. Fortunately for them, fifth place Dortmund are 8 points adrift which still gives them some leeway in the battle for top-four.
Overall, Wolfsburg have had a successful season thus far, winning 15 of their 28 Bundesliga matches so far, losing only four times. This performance is what has them on the brink of making a comeback to Europe’s premiere club football competition since the 2015/16 season.
Oliver Glasner’s side home record is even more impressive. They are unbeaten at home in their 13 matches in the Bundesliga this season with a record of 9W and 4D.
BAYERN MUNICH
Missing the services of their talisman Robert Lewandowski and the likes of Leon Goretzka and Serge Gnabry through injury and illness, Bayern Munich, despite being the more dominant team both legs of their Champions League quarter-final tie with PSG, couldn’t get the better of the French champions, and their defence of their European title ended with on away goals after winning 1-0 in Paris in the second leg on Tuesday night, having lost the first 3-2 at the Allianz Arena.
Elimination from the Champions League capped a bitter week for them as they had dropped points in a 1-1 draw to Union Berlin which allowed second-place Leipzig to cut the lead at the top to just 5 points as we get to the final six matches of the season.
Leipzig could further cut this lead down to just two points if they defeat Hoffenheim in their Friday night match which would certainly make this trip critical for Bayern’s hopes of winning a record-extending 9th successive title.

WOLFSBURG VS BAYERN MUNICH BETTING PREDICTIONS
Wolfburg’s home record is not to be wished away here. They are unbeaten at home this season and have put up some impressive performances at the Volkswagen Arena. With Bayern’s confidence rattled a bit after they were bundled out of the Champions League, we feel the Wolves can take advantage and rub salt to the wound here. We are therefore backing them to maintain their unbeaten record in the Bundesliga this season by picking up a win or a draw here @ 1.95.
Part of the reason for their unbeaten home record has been the defensive masterclasses they have put up. They have kept clean sheets in 9 of their last 10 home matches, with only a 2-2 draw against Leipzig spoiling a perfect 10/10. None of Bayern’s forwards have quite been able to fill Lewandowski’s shoes, although to be fair, he is a 1 of 1 kind of player and they were always going to struggle without him. We are therefore not expecting a flurry of goals in this match. With so much is on the line for both teams here, neither will be willing to cede too much ground. As a result, under 3.5 goals looks appealing at a decent price of 1.64 and we are backing it for our final betting tip today.
