Ogabet Nigeria

Ogabet is an online and offline betting platform licensed to operate in Nigeria, and is also one of the chains of online betting platforms owned by Premier Bets. Premier Bets operates in 17 countries in Africa. Right off the bat you’ll see that the bookie is big on promotions, as the carousel on the homepage highlights current promotions on offer.

While the bookie is predominantly online, it also has a network of 50 local shops across different cities in Nigeria. In this bookie review, we combed through Ogabet’s website in order to provide important information on the bookie that bettors should know about, and how you can access the Ogabet bet bonus, if any, when you register with the bookie.

1.) The Registration Process

To register on Ogabet you can either visit the site directly or click on any of the links on this page to get started. If you’re going through the website, you can find the register button at the top right-hand corner of the screen, just after the login input fields. The registration form properly includes six fields to fill, including your first and last name, telephone number, email address and a space where you enter your preferred password twice. After filling out the form, you have to check the “I declare to be over 21 years and know and accept the Terms & Conditions of the Premier Bet website” box in order to continue the process. As always, we recommend that you read the terms and conditions properly before proceeding. After checking the box, click on the register button to complete your registration. The next page is a confirmation that your registration was successful with a few details on how the website works. You can also make your first deposit through the link provided on this page so as to start enjoying all the Ogabet bonuses that are available to newbies and old customers alike.

2.) Making a Deposit

When logged into your account, you can make a deposit anytime by clicking the ‘Deposit’ button at the top corner of the screen just next to your account balance. Just like Premier Bet that offers only three deposit channels, Ogabet offers the fewest deposit options we have ever encountered. The bookie currently only carries three payment options: Interswitch for processing your Visa, Verve or Mastercard debit cards, Voucher and Paystack, which is similar to how Interswitch works. We reckon that the bookie will be adding new deposit channels in the future. One of the advantages Ogabet offers is that all these channels do not incur any charges for deposits. That said, the three channels have maximum and minimum limits on the amount you can deposit into your account. The limits are clearly indicated against each deposit channel. For Interswitch and Paystack, the minimum you can deposit is NGN50 and a maximum of NGN3,000,000, while the minimum you can upload using the Voucher platform is NGN200. Customers can only withdraw their winnings into their bank account. While the bookie offers a 300% Ogabet bet bonus for new users up to the tune of NGN6,000, it is only applicable for the casino product and not for the sportsbook. At the present moment, Ogabet does not offer any welcome bonus for new users.

3.) User Experience and Usability

Lime green is the predominant colour on the bookie’s website, with links to other web pages in white, and most of the texts appear in different shades of grey. The yellow colour also features well on the website, specifically to highlight the current tab; it also adds the necessary contrast and spark to the website. The colour combination works without being overwhelming, and makes navigation easy on the eye and important links and buttons stand out clearly. Our next step was to attempt to place a bet to see how intuitive this was. On the sportsbook home page you have the list of sports on the left-hand side pane, the list of popular events being bet on in the middle pane and your bet slip and other promotional banners on the right-hand side. We decided to place a bet on Real Madrid’s next match; we simply had to click on ‘Football’ and then scroll down to Spain. After clicking on Spain, we were shown the list of upcoming La Liga matches, with popular betting options displayed as well. We could also filter the results by date. We also examined the search button to see if it worked. When typing the keyword ‘Real Madrid’ into the search tool, we were presented with a list of upcoming matches involving Real Madrid. This can be a quick way to find teams you don’t really know much about. For example, if you found a game you wanted to bet on using our sports betting tips, and are not sure of the country or league, the search tool is very useful. In summary the Ogabet website is not complicated and betting was a breeze.

4.) Sportsbook and Betting Option

At the time of writing this bookie review, there were 25 sports listed on the website, including sports like MMA, table tennis, futsal, darts, golf, volleyball and other popular and not-so-popular sports. The bookie also has a special section for betting on affairs like politics and music. For example, under the music category, you can bet on which country the next winner of the Eurovision Song Contest will come from. You can also find multiple leagues, competitions and countries under each sport. Besides, the betting options available for football matches are also exceptional, although not at the levels of 1xbet. You can find options on yellow cards, goals, handicap and much more. You can also play the ‘Football Jackpot’ game where you have to predict the outcome of 18 matches to stand a chance of winning 100,000,000 naira, with just an entry wager of N75. Ogabet also offers some interesting promotions such as Usain Bonus and Odds Boost. The Usain Bonus offers more winnings to users who love their accumulators; an accumulator with five legs gets a boost of 10%, while a 23-leg ticket will earn 100% boost.

5.) Summary

While not the most exotic website out there, the Ogabet site does what it was set up to do, and it does it well. The colours are not overwhelming and the navigation is intuitive, even for new users. The available options cover most of the popular events punters love to bet on. A few downsides, though, include the number of deposit options, limited number of customer service channels (no live chat and no customer care number listed on the website) and the lack of a welcome bonus for new users. Overall, Ogabet would be a useful addition to your list of online bookies.
