Borussia Mönchengladbach - Borussia Dortmund ai prediction 07.03.2020 Bundesliga

Betting Tip for matchday 25 of the 2019/2020 Bundesliga between Borussia Mönchengladbach and Borussia Dortmund.

Borussia Monchengladbach vs Borussia Dortmund

Matchday 24 of the Bundesliga sees third versus fourth in the league lock horns as Borussia Mochengladbach hosts Borussia Dortmund as one of the most fascinating Bundesliga title runs in years continues.

BORUSSIA MONCHENGLADBACH

Monchengladbach are having a fantastic season by all accounts. Their meteoric rise has made the race for the Bundesliga title all the more thrilling. With just six points separating league leaders Bayern Munich and fourth-placed Monchengladbach just past the midway part of the season, we are sure to witness a dramatic finish to the season when the curtains come down.

The Foals have been very solid at home through the course of the season. They are unbeaten in nine league games at home since losing 3-1 at the hands of RB Leipzig back in August.

Coach Marco Rose has shown a great ability to be flexible in team selections, having not named the same team in consecutive league games since he took charge last summer.

Their head to head meetings against Dortmund, however, reads like a horror movie script. They’ve lost their last 10 encounters against them. Coach Rose knows they are better than what that record shows and he will be eager to that horrible losing streak against Dortmund and has no doubt prepared his players and stressed to them the weight of responsibility that lies on their shoulders.

Monchengladbach are not beset with any injury worries. Ramy Bensebami who had been sidelined for some time made a return against Augsburg last week and ended up on the scoresheet. Coach Rose, therefore, has at his disposal a fully strengthened squad that is ready upset the status quo and challenge for European football slots. This will be a key test of their capability to go toe-to-toe one of the Bundesliga traditional big boys.

BORUSSIA DORTMUND

Like their opponents, they too have had a largely successful season not only in the domestic league but in Europe as well where they beat French champions PSG 2-1 in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie in Dortmund. They will be travelling to Paris for the second leg next week.

One of the reasons they have had the level of success they have had particularly in this second half of the season was the signing of Norwegian teenage sensation Erling Haaland from Red Bull Salzburg. He has turned out to be exactly what the doctor ordered for them and took no time to blend in with the team like a fish in a new pond. In just two months or so, the Norwegian striker has been on an absolute tear shattering club and Bundesliga records.

Dortmund’s young core has complemented well with him. They have been scorching upfront and have already set a new club record at this stage of the season with 66 goals with Jadon Sancho (14), Marco Reus (11) and Erling Haaland (9) account for half of that tally.

Their away form has however been less than stellar. All four of their league defeats have been on the road. They will, however, be confident going into this match as they have had a lot of success against Monchengladbach in the recent past, winning their last ten encounters, including the two times they have faced off this season in the league and the DFB Cup. They are also coming in on the back of an impressive four-game winning streak, out of which they managed to keep clean sheets in three of those four games. Defense has been one of their Achilles heels and therefore coach Lucien Favre will be impressed with the defensive mettle they have shown in this streak and will be hoping the same effort will be replicated in this contest.

Marco Reus has missed the last four games due to a groin injury that will still keep him out of this one. Haaland had a stomach bug earlier in the week but has since recovered and should get the nod to lead the lines in this match.

OUR BETTING TIPS AND PREDICTIONS FOR B. MONCHENGLADBACH V B. DORTMUND

Both of these teams are quite adept at moving the ball forward and very prolific at finding the back of the net with ease. With their brands of free-flowing, all-out attacking football and the quality of forwards on both sides, we expect a game that will be awash with goals. Our first betting tip is, therefore, BTTS @ 1.45

We are also riding firmly on the Erling Haaland bandwagon. We fancy the Norwegian teenage phenom to Score Anytime @ 2.03. With 9 goals in just 442 minutes of action, the kid has shown without a doubt that he has an eye for goal and is one of the best finishers in Europe at his position. We reckon his exploits will continue on Saturday night.

Our final betting tip for this game is Borussia Dortmund Over 1.5 Total Goals @ 1.76.
