Dortmund come into this match on the back of a 3-0 loss to RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga at the weekend – the exact same scoreline they had handed FC Copenhagen on matchday 1 of this Champions League just a few days earlier. That loss ended a three-match winning streak with three clean sheets for the Black and Yellow.
They faced their former coach Marco Rose at the weekend who had been appointed as Leipzig’s coach earlier in the week. They will now face their former lead striker Erling Haaland who has been nothing short of breathtaking for Man City.
