South Africa vs Ghana, CAF WC Qualifiers, 06.09.2021
Two African football giants South Africa and Ghana will square off on Monday afternoon in the 2nd round of Group G World Cup qualification fixtures.
A win for either side here will see the victor take control of the group at this juncture and could very well dictate the pace the rest of the way.
We expect a closely contested bout here. Betboro Ghana has a multitude of options availed for this game and will feature a couple of them in this preview.
SOUTH AFRICA
South Africa have been in great form coming into these qualifiers. They won their regional COSAFA tournament in impressive fashion at the end of July, defeating Senegal in the final via post-match penalties after the two teams failed to break the deadlock in regulation time.
Ever since they embarrassingly lost 2-0 to minnows Sudan, on their way to missing out of next year’s AFCON, Bafana Bafana have been on an absolute tear, going unbeaten in the subsequent 7 matches (6W, 1D) while keeping clean sheets in all these matches!
Belgian coach Hugo Broos was hired back in May and his first mission is to secure qualification to Qatar 2022 from this Group G that also features Zimbabwe and Ethiopia.
GHANA
Unlike the hosts, Ghana have struggled to impress in their recent outings with just one win in their last 5 competitive fixtures. However, when it comes to the World Cup qualifiers, they have shown their pedigree in recent years, having participated in three successive World Cups between 2006 and 2012.
Coach Charles Akonnor will still be missing some of his key players for this encounter but he still has enough quality to choose from and will certainly be keen to try and come away with something from this game.
The Black Stars can draw some inspiration from their last visit here during the qualifiers where they came away with a 1-1 draw.

SOUTH AFRICA VS GHANA PREVIEW AND BETTING PREDICTIONS
This will certainly be one of the marquee matches of this round of games in the CAF World Cup qualifiers. It is without a doubt the most important group game for these two heavyweights thus far. Both teams will be jostling to take control of the group at this early juncture. It is impossible to ignore the imperious form that South Africa has been in coming into this game. We feel they have a slight edge in what will be a close fight and we are backing them on the double chance with under 3.5 goals to be scored @ 1.56 as our initial football betting tip today.

In their recent revival, South Africa have come alive action in the 2nd half of their games. Excluding the COSAFA final which needed a penalty shootout, they have won five of the previous 6 games in normal time. In each of those five wins, they scored a goal in the 2nd half, including a couple of 1-0 wins over Botswana and Swaziland in COSAFA. Betboro have them priced @ 1.96 to Score in the 2nd half again and we feel there is value in picking this up as our final call for this clash.
